Abstract
In article the option of application of the regression analysis is given in pedagogical researches. On the example of physical and mathematical faculty of Smolgu research of interrelation of average examination point of first-year students from results of their entrance tests is conducted. On the basis of these results of two sessions of students of the first year of training, the assessment of communication of progress in higher education institution with results of the unified state examination is carried out. Forecasting on a score of entrance tests. By results of statistical research the subject of examination having the greatest impact on progress of students of the studied faculty is revealed.
