Abstract
Use of restriction endonucleases allowed for setting up fast and efficient genotyping technique for E. coli pathogenic strains. The technique has been employed for elucidation of routes of transmission of strains in poultry farms settings. It was shown that there was no pathogen trans-mission between poultry farms and between hen houses within poultry farms.
