Abstract
One of the basic problems of investigating the ionosphere - determination of the vertical profile of electronic concentration is examined. Artificial Earth satellite with the passive answer is sounded by Doppler radar. In this case any “suitable” satellites can be used, without any requirements for the established on its equipment. The relationships expressing electronic concentration and total electronic content in the ionosphere are obtained. During a comparatively simple performance of the receive-transmitting equipment it is possible to ensure the relative errors of measurement both the electronic concentration and total electronic content at level 0,1.
