Abstract
The article presents the results of 10 years of authors researches of factors and patterns of soil-forming processes in the coastal areas. It is shown that, depending on the physical and chemical properties of soils, heavy metals and radionuclides in the soil can either go into slow-moving and unmoving forms with subsequent accumulation in the upper soil horizons, or migrate to the mineral horizons. Bringing of marine aerosols affects on the rate migration of contaminants downward along the soil profile, up to partial or complete stopping the process.

Keywords: anthropogenic pollution, physical-chemical properties of soils, seaside location, soil, soil-forming process
